Oh Thank Heaven

What a weird day. I had the first of a two day Boeing New Engineer Orientation training today and all in all, it felt like an infomercial for us to be System Engineers and to work for Phantom Works. Eh. But what I did find amusing, even shocked, was that people were dumbfounded that I (and my organization in general) had: (1) work laptops, (2) traveled to other boeing buildings around puget sound, (3) travelled anywhere at all for work, and (4) have actually seen airplane parts or airplanes being assembled. I'm surprised they didn't ask me if I'd actually built any of this so-called Composite stuff before... I was overly amazed really.

Then there's the drama that insued after work over softball, codes, and people's feelings. Sigh. Why can't we all just get along or at least share our feelings in a humane and respectful manner?

Anyhoo, I'm glad our Central Intelligence Agency is falling into shambles... We might put some intelligence into it?
