- ANTHONY_ > My Issue: I spoke with a customer service rep a week ago and he made modifications to my account but he also removed my free HBO subscription so now I can not access it any longer.
- Deeksha > I am here to assist you.
- ANTHONY_ > hi
- Deeksha > Hi, Anthony.
- Deeksha > As I understand, you want to check for the HBO subscription on your account, am I correct ?
- ANTHONY_ > Yes. I originally signed up for a package last year that included HBO. When I worked with a customer service rep last week, he fixed somethings but it looks like HBO was removed.
- Deeksha > I will be more than happy to help you on checking on your issue. I assure you that by the end of this chat ,I will either resolve your issue or will guide you for best available resolution.
- ANTHONY_ > thank you
- Deeksha > You are most welcome.
- Deeksha > Would you mind waiting for a couple of minutes while I research that for you?
- ANTHONY_ > Yes that's fine.
- Deeksha > Thank You!
- Deeksha > While waiting let me tell you about the Xfinity Customer Commitment – it's our promise to our customers to provide you the best customer experience and stand behind our products and services.
- Deeksha > Thank you for patiently waiting.
- Deeksha > Anthony, as I have checked your account, I would like to inform you that currently free HBO is not available on the account.
- Deeksha > I can provide you the HBO for $15.00.
- ANTHONY_ > Yes. I know that. I had it before I spoke with the rep last week. I had a 24 month free HBO package with my 2 year double play
- ANTHONY_ > but he removed it
- Deeksha > I apologize for the inconvenience.
- ANTHONY_ > I would like it back on.
- ANTHONY_ > but not for $15. i would like my promo package deal
- Deeksha > If you wish I can also provide you the preferred tier for $14.99 you will get the 220+ channels and HBO free with this.
- ANTHONY_ > No. I dont need those extra channels, and that normally would only cost me $10 a month anyway!
- Deeksha > I apologize for the inconvenience. I am unable to check the HBO for $10.00 on the account.
- ANTHONY_ > I would like to just have my promo package i signed a 2 year CONTRACT with back.
- Deeksha > As you are a valuable customer, I can provide you $10.00 credit with the preferred tier.
- ANTHONY_ > I dont want the preferred tier. I just want my HBO subscription back at the price i signed my contract for
- ANTHONY_ > Are you unable to review the contract I signed in Feb 2015?
- Deeksha > I have checked the account I can see you were provided the HBO free for 24 months.
- ANTHONY_ > Yes. So how come I don't have it anymore?
- Deeksha > No worries, Let me connect you with the correct department who will help you with the issue to resolve.
- Deeksha > Please stay connected to the chat for the next available representative. Thank you for choosing Comcast for your entertainment needs.

Separation is in the Preparation
I decided to cut the gaming stuff off this website for the time being, although I will keep the posts as they are for now. I went on a sort of impulse purchase of domain names. I haven't had this many domain names in a while. At one time, I had sites like BrokenSpindle, my music review site that was actually pretty popular, and my ClubTrance radio station site, as well as my fictitious band site, TragicPenguin.com, my personal AntsWorld.net and WrittenDiscourse.com -- but with time, and lackthereof, they all faded away.
Interestingly enough, TragicPenguin.com is now worth $1200 to purchase the rights to it from GoDaddy.com?!?!
So fast-forward back to today. I recently purchased a more professional domain name, Anthony-Nguyen.net, and I'm thinking of purchasing some other AnthonyNguyen-type sites but that for now will link to here. Along with that, I repurchased WrittenDiscourse.net. That's also pointing here.
But then I bought Antdroid.net. I didn't know what I was going to do with this, but now I decided to make it a sports/technology gaming site and so I present to you all (all 1-2 viewers), ANTDROID.
So here's a wrap-up:

NCAA Roster Additions and Other Updates
Over the past few days I've been slowly making some changes and additions to the Files section that haven't necessarily been posted in an article here nor at one of the two forums I frequent for sports gaming.
The files section, you'll find updates to:
NCAA 07 PSP:
Updated NCAA 2015 roster
New historical rosters folder, which includes NCAA 2005-2008 rosters. I'm still trying to figure out issues with 09-11 right now.
NCAA 10 PSP:
Updated 2015 roster
NCAA PS2:
Updated 2015 roster
2010-2011 rosters
NCAA PS3 to PS2/PSP Porting Tool:
I have made it a universal tool now, with v0.17 uploaded. There are several fixes and accessories optimizations included. More work to come.
Other stuff:
I've been working with a great team of folks at Football Idiot/Operation Sports and trying to make a more modern NCAA 06/NCAA 07 game. We've got Volwalker working on playbooks and a few others working on uniform updates. I believe most of these files will port over to the two consoles quite well.
I've also going to start trying to make a better tool for porting/editing rosters if I have a chance.

Porting PS3 NCAA 14 Rosters to PS2/PSP
Modifying PS3 to PS2 and PSP is pretty intensive because there are a good 50% or more attributes in the PS3/360 generation games versus the previous generation, some attributes are called different things, and the way they are adjusted is totally different. On top of that, you can't determine player names or the school they are associated with without a conversion tool. I am working on an Excel Workbook tool to help ease the pain.
NCAA PS3/XBOX360 Roster Port to NCAA PS2/PSP (and Vita) Excel Tool
Hopefully someone can use this to create a windows/osx or web-based tool to make it simpler.
Here's a LINK to the initial editors.
There's some really preliminary instructions in the NFO tab. More instruction coming later.
Basic directions:
Extract the unencrypted Roster save from your PS3 or XBOX 360 roster you want to port.
Using Xanthanol's NCAA Dynasty Editor, load up the roster and export the Players database to CSV.
Open this Porting Tool, and import all the data in the Player CSV into the Import tab. (the tab already is populated with a Vikefan059's PS3 save with permission. Please don't distribute anything without his permission first!!)
Once imported, you need to do a tricky step. Go to the Names tab. All the names will be populated if you imported the data correctly. Now you have to highlight the First names, all of them, and use Excel's Text to Columns function in the Data menu. Start the conversion in the first first name column. Then do the same for Last names. Take a look at the pre-populated fields to familiarize yourself with how it's suppose to look.
After that, the PSP_Export tab should be fully populated! Again, there are a lot of generalities and random functions that are used to create some roster, so your player may look slightly different each time you use this tool. So you can just edit off the CSV file you do in the next step...
Now you just need to first Save the spreadsheet as is. Then either (1) save the active Export tab as CSV or (2) copy and paste into a new file and save as csv.
This export csv is now ready to be imported.
Now you need to make an existing Roster Save on your PS2 or PSP, as seen in previous tutorials.
Load this unencrypted save in Madden DB Editor, and import the Export CSV into the PLAY table.
Save, and reload it onto your console. Victory.
NCAA 2015 Roster for Playstation 2 NCAA 06
I ran into a small community of folks who have been working at modding NCAA 06 on a couple different sites and I figured, hey if it works on PSP, why not PS2? So I gave it a whirl, and threw it out on the internet for a few people to test out. And it worked! Blindly trying to make a roster update, with surprisingly decent results.
I am posting my latest, third test, of the PS2 roster here.
It was originally just a direct port of the PSP one I ported over from PS3 but now there are a few minor changes from it.
First, PSP is weird. It only has capitalized names. So it doesn't matter which case you use, it'll show up ALL CAPS. PS2 actually is case-sensitive. While I am still trying to to tweak my excel function to do this right, I made a temporary fix. First letters of each First and Last name will be capitalized, while the remaining letters are lower-cased.
Secondly, PSP doesn't ever have student athletes without their helmets on. So really, player heads and hair don't really matter besides the tone of their skin. So I made everything default to hair style 5 which is some sort of crew cut I guess. After a little bit of debugging, I settled on 4 really generic basic haircuts and randomized the population with it.
So far that's all that's included in this Test 3.
I've gotten some new ideas from VolWalker on some generic accessories and coaching playbook options that I'll look into in the near future that would work across the board.

NCAA PSP/PS2 DB Viewer v0.1
PS2/PSP DB Viewer version 0.1
Download Here
This is an Excel Workbook that currently lets you input a CSV file that you've exported from DB Editor and translates into something less foreign.
There's a few worksheets within the workbook.
1. Input
In this worksheet, you copy or import the CSV file here, starting at Column A1!
I already pasted a Named NCAA 11 PS2 roster as an example.
2. Conversions
This worksheet is a bunch of conversion tables for making things easier to read. It's used heavily in the Viewer.
3. Viewer
The Viewer worksheet takes all the inputted data and converts all the numbers into letters and then into actual player names. It also converts ratings from cryptic land to a traditional 0-100 rating system. It'll also translate the student's college, spit out the college ID, give you his position and his class status. Sorting is enabled. Editing is not because I don't want you to ruin the formulas. You can always SAVE AS CSV or XLS to edit.
However be aware that the viewer isnt in the proper format to import back into your save.
4. Export
I'll add this in the near future. This will let you save as a CSV and import it into your save in the correct format.

NCAA 2007 Conference Re-Alignment Test Part 2
I got the teams in the right places, and the conferences with the right names now.
Now how do I get it to not crash after Week 1 simming?
I got every team assigned to their current day conference, renamed all the conferences and sub-divisions. This isn't an easy task for someone not experienced with editing though. Required hex editing and importing csv files and modding your PSP. I had to change a dbtable column from a large binary to a small bit because dbeditor crashes when loading two binaries in the TEAM db in dynasty save. This could be an issue. Not sure. I'm also looking at other tables now to see if there are dependencies to the realigned conferences/divisions/teams.
NCAA PSP Conference Realignment Trial
Tried to do a mod to NCAA 07 on PSP last night where I updated teams for NCAA conference realignment. As you can see in the video, the Conference names and Sub-Divisions show up correctly, however the teams do not correctly populate.
I opened up a Dynasty and modified the following databases:
CONF - Conference IDs
DIVI - Division IDs
STTM - what looks to be Teams -> Conf/Division IDs
The STTM database, for whatever reason, does not allow me to change the Division ID number above "14" which is really odd because the original database has teams with IDs of "15."

Introduction
Hello!
I don't think anyone has done this yet. I just picked up a used PSP recently as well as a PSTV so I could get my NCAA fix on (only have a PS4 console now). I had to do A LOT of digging and a A LOT of experimenting, but my success of porting Madden PC rosters to Madden PSP sure helped a lot.
Anyway, I found the amazing Operation Sports Community NCAA 10 roster for PS2 and ported it over to PSP. The file is attached to this post. Just extract it and put the folder into your /PSP/SAVEDATA folder.
NCAA 2015-2016 Update!
I will first like to thank Vikesfan059 for permission to use and port over his team's amazing work on their NCAA 14 PS3 roster. This wouldn't have even been a remote idea without it. Also big thanks to reeshmd23 for testing and helping find bugs in earlier tests and exchanging ideas. We have more mods we're talking about but requires resources from other games in the series. And finally, big thanks to the communities here and at footballidiot for some great tools and guides.
The 2015 roster is a heavily modified port of a community roster found here.
The file was created using a base NCAA 14 roster for PS3 created by various members on Operation Sports:vikesfan059, BossHawgMichigan, CPmustangs75, Arrowhead29, bigbob, Her89Man, Jackster802, muckcity, sean15012, TCUFan, thesportsguru11, wewereGiants, and Zaybreezy25.
FEATURES:
2010 / 2011 Rosters
- Direct Port of Operation Sports Community PS2 Roster
- No Changes were made
2015 Rosters:
- Based on Vikesfan059 community PS3 roster from early January 2016.
- Removed FCS team rosters - add them back in the future
- Converted text names to numerical names used in PSP/PS2
- Features ~50 faces, 6 skin tones, and various accessories
- Used a statistical averaged body shape function to determine body/shoulder/leg sizes based on height-to-weight ratio - WIP

Madden PSP Roster Updates & Mods Download 2015-2016 Season
ROSTER AND FRANCHISE FILES
Files for Madden 08 and Madden 12 for Playstation Portable (PSP), Playstation Vita, and Playstation TV
Updated: January 24, 2016
FILES:
download link: Madden Rosters & Franchises
Rosters:
This 2015 season roster used RogerJinx's Madden 08 PC roster as a base, which was imported and converted from EA's official Madden 16 update. Please note that you will see some positional overall ratings really high, especially fullbacks. This is due to how 16 calculates vs how the older Maddens calculate overall.
Features:
Franchises:
Franchise saves are included because they can be more heavily updated without doing mods to your game. In addition, the roster file will crash in Madden 08 if you try to start a franchise, so this is a workaround and improvement! Please note that you will see some positional overall ratings really high, especially fullbacks. This is due to how 16 calculates vs how the older Maddens calculate overall.
Features:
The franchise has every NFL team set to User Controlled, however, each team has been set to allow CPU to manage everything. Go into the Team Management screen to choose what team you want to be. I found this works best for the first season - the CPU doesn't seem to want to do in-season transactions even if it really really needs to and this screws everything up - but you can reset the cpu controlled teams after the first season in the offseason if you wish.
KNOWN BUGS:
Madden 12 Franchise Save - The first year Pro Bowl will not show AFC vs NFC. It will crash if you try to play or sim it. Don't. When you get to that screen, press BACK, then go back into the Schedule and it should skip ahead to the Super Bowl. This only happens in the first season.
INSTALLATION
Download and Unzip contents.
The folders within SAVEDATA go in your /PSP/SAVEDATA folder on your mem card. It will override anything in your Save Slot #1 for Franchise/Roster, so back those up if you want.
The SAVEPLAIN folders are for roster editing. For editing, you'll need to install a custom firmware and plugin for your PSP or Vita as described in the tutorials.

UMD/ISO MODS
Roster Position Requirements Relaxation (template.dat)
I was able to figure out how to change the mandatory number of players per team per position by editing a file called template.dat. The update is also attached. This lowers the required number of players at HB, T, G, DT, FS, SS and setting the minimum number of 40.
To install this update, you will need UMDGen. Open up an ISO dump of your game, and navigate to usrdata/data folder. Replace the existing template.dat with the attached modified template.dat. Then save and reload the ISO to your memory stick.

Porting PS2 NCAA Rosters to PSP NCAA Games
TUTORIALS:
1. Porting PS2 to PSP
2. Porting PS3 to PSP/PS2 - Coming Soon!
Tutorial to Port PS2 to PSP (and vice-versa)
Tools:PS2 Save Builder
Madden DB Editor 3.0
deemerh.prx unencrypted save plugin for a modified cFW PSP.
The PS2 file of your choice that you want to port
Steps:1. Usually PS2 saves are in ActionReplay or XPort format, so use Save Builder to extract the BASLUS unencrypted ps2 save file.
2. Load up Madden DB Editor and open the PS2 save file. Then, on the left side, there should be 3 items. Click each item and a table loads. After loading, export to CSV for each one. The PLAY one is the most important, since thats the players database. The others are team attributes and depth chart. Since this takes a while, you can do the next steps concurrently....
2. Enable deemerh plugin on psp, and start NCAA. Save the roster and exit game.
3. Attach PSP to computer and pull out the roster file from your /PSP/SAVEPLAIN folder. The folder will end in something like 0010.
4. After step 2 is complete, using DB Editor, open up the SDDATA.BIN file from the PSP saveplain folder you just pulled. This is the unencrypted roster save.
5. Again, 3 items will appear on the left side, Depth Chart, Players, Teams.
For each item, load it, then IMPORT the PS2 extracted csv file that corresponds to it. Again, this may take a few minutes for the players one.
6. Once its all imported, save the file. Now you can plug the psp back into your computer, and replace the saveplain folder with the modified one you just worked on and start NCAA 10 with a new database!

Madden PSP Roster Editing / Porting / Modding
Tutorials
The PSP Madden series (and NCAA?) shares a lot of similarities and file structures to the ones on PS2 and PC so many of the same tools and tips developed for the PC version work for this series! There's been a lot of great tools and tutorials built around Madden 08 at FootballFreaks/FootballIdiot that paved the way for me to experiment on PSP using similar techniques.
Tools required:
NZA 2.0 Madden 08 PC Editor
DB Editor 3.0 for Madden 08 PC
Spreadsheet program (e.g. Excel)
PSP with cFW
Deemerh.prx plugin for PSP, that is already set up.
For my Mac setup, I used VirtualBox with WinXP though I was able to use Wine as well for the PC applications.
- - -
Basic Roster Editing
Creating base files:
1) Open Madden using default rosters and make a save.
2) Plug PSP onto computer. Go to /PSP/SAVEPLAIN folder (this is a new folder created by the plugin) and extract out the save data for Madden. The rosters end of 5016 I believe if you chose Save slot #1, 17 for #2, 18 for #3, etc.
Info: The deemerh plugin creates the SAVEPLAIN folder and within the folder, an unencrypted copy of your save. This allows it to be edited. You can then edit these files (SDDATA.BIN). When you load a save within a game, and the plugin active, the game will look for matching files in saveplain first, before going to the standard SAVEDATA folder, so you only need to edit off of saveplain (as long as files of any date are present in savedata)
3) Keep this copy -- we will refer to this as the original roster database.
Editing Rosters
1) Make a copy of the original roster to work off of.
2) In the folder, rename the file SDDATA.BIN to SDDATA.ROS for rosters and SDDATA.FRA for franchise. (The filename actually wont matter at this stage, only the extension)
3) Open the file in NZA Editor
4) In the file menu, choose Edit Players.
5) You can now edit players!
Importing Rosters
I took an existing, already modified, Madden 08 PC roster to work from. Using the Editing Roster steps above, I opened the PC roster in NZA Editor, then:
1) In the Edit Players menu, there will be an EXPORT CSV button at the bottom. Press this to export the file.
2) Open this new file up in your spreadsheet editor and work from it! You will need to scale back the roster to 1962 players for Madden 08 and 1866 players in Madden 12. More info on how to read the database is available if you look for the Madden database definitions in Football Freaks Wikia.
3) Now, open up your original Madden roster in NZA Editor, and export that file. Then open up that CSV, look for the Player ID column and copy the entire column.
4) Go back to the PC spreadsheet, after you scaled down the roster, and paste the Player ID in your clipboard to the corresponding column. You will also need to paste the same data into the POID column, which is 2 columns over. Then SAVE.
5) Now, open up your working copy of PSP roster (the one you're editing) and IMPORT the modified PC spreadsheet. You should now have the imported roster loaded! I recommend editing in NZA Editor as much as you can at this point as it is easier, though for bulk items, use the CSV -- just remember to import/export frequently.
Also, it would be good to change all Portrait IDs to 0, since the portrait faces will not match. This is column titled PSXP.
Expanding the Size/Importing larger roster databases
NZA editor is great however it won't let you increase the size of a database. For this, you will need to use Madden DB Editor (v3.0 doesn't seem to do this either though - so use a previous version). Basically, load the roster/franchise you want, find the PLAY (Players) database - load - then export to csv. Then you can start modifying this csv by adding more lines for new players or take an existing roster/franchsie, export that, and import it into your old one using DB Editor.
Re-Loading Rosters to PSP.
1) Once you have everything the way you want, rename the SDDATA.ROS file back to SDDATA.BIN -- Note the extension changed back to BIN!
2) Move the SDDATA.BIN file back to the correct folder in SAVEPLAIN on your PSP.
3) Now, start Madden up and load the roster. It should show up with the new edits. I make a quick check to see if all salaries and contract lengths are correct too within Madden. Also make sure no team has more than 55 players.
4) Re-do depth charts for every team.
5) Once youre happy, you can save if you wish. This will create both a standard save as well as an updated SAVEPLAIN file.

Creating Madden 08 Franchise from Madden 12 Franchise:
This is the only way I was able to create an updated file to play Franchise mode in Madden 08 (so far). For some reason, the updated rosters will freeze up when trying to start a new franchise in 08. So the work-around is to use a new roster in Madden 12, start a franchise, save it, and bring it over to Madden 08.
To do this, we will take Madden 12's franchise, and export and replace Madden 08's franchise and then put it in Madden 08.
1) Open up Madden 08 with default roster. Start a franchise, and save it before you do anything.
2) Open up Madden 12 with updated roster. Start a franchise, and save it before you do anything.
3) Connect PSP to PC and pull the Madden 12 ROSTER file. It'll end in 0016, 0017, etc. This is odd -- Madden 12 somehow combines the franchise with the roster -- 08 does not do this. Also pull out the Madden 08 FRANCHISE save. This will end in 0000, 0001, etc.
4) Using DB Editor, open up the Madden 12 file. Go to the PLAY database. Once that is loaded, export the data to a csv.
5) Now open up the 08 franchise file in DB Editor. Go to the PLAY database. Once loaded, IMPORT the CSV from step 4.
6) Close/Save the file. Then replace the edited 08 franchise file back to your PSP.
7) Load up the franchise and make sure it looks right.
Importing Coaches into Franchise:
I've only been able to do this with Madden 08 FRA files.
1. Extract your Madden 08 franchise saveplain file. The folder for this will end in 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003 depending on slot.
2. Open up DB Editor and open this file. DB editor doesnt require you to rename the extension, as long as you make sure it opens all files.
3. A bunch of data will generate. There will be a database called COACHES. Open this one, then in the file menu, export it to csv.
4. Open the new csv file and begin editing! Be sure to change coach portraits to 0. I believe the column is COXP.
5. After you're done editing, go back to DB Editor, and import the csv file to the COACHES database and save/close.
6. Reload this file onto your psp and you should be set.
Alternatively, I opened up a current madden pc roster and extracted the coaches database from that, and imported it into the PSP franchise file without a hitch.
Transferring Franchises from one Madden PSP to another
1. In your current Madden franchise, save it and create an unencrypted save (old save) using the plugin described above.
2. In your "new" Madden, create a franchise and save it, also creating an unencrypted save (new save).
3. Pull both unencrypted saves from your PSP to your computer.
4. Open up both unencrypted saves (SDDATA.BIN) in a HEX editor.
5. In the "new" save, copy the first 24 characters and replace the first 24 characters in the "old" save.
6. Save the "old" save, and replace it in the SAVEPLAIN folder in your psp of the Madden you wish to transfer your franchise in (the new save location).

1. Open up the Madden 12 ISO in UMDGen.
2. Go to USRDIR / DATA folder
3. Extract out the Stadiums and Uniforms folder
4. Open up the previous Madden ISO now.
5. Import the Stadiums and Uniforms folder and replace the existing ones in the same location.
6. Save and load it on your memory card.
According to B-Rad, you can also export/import the default rosters, but I wasn't able to get it working.
Modding your own graphics
I dont really understand this yet. I do know the viv files can be viewed in EA Graphics Editor, which will dump you a *.MSH file. This file can then be opened in Console Texture Editor, but I havent gotten much further than that. It seems to require a lot of hex viewing to find the right offset, i.e. a lot of work.
