I'm currently stuck at O'Hare airport in Chicago right now as I wait for my connecting flight. It's been delayed for 3 hours now and still no new information on it. Sigh. I'm just trying to get to South Carolina for a few hour meeting! This is ridiculous! I sure how my flight back to Seattle is not this bad, or delayed substantially -- I got tickets to see Wicked on Thursday evening and do not want to miss this opportunity to see it. I'm pretty stoked to get to see it too! Anyway, this I must remind myself to never connect through Chicago, though it wasn't my original intent.
I've been quite the lazy on the blog lately as I have been filling my time with work and work, and some play. Work has been crazy for me lately, and this delay at the airport is not really helping. The past weekend was another good one. I got to hang out with my friends Ted and Don on Friday and then Oktoberfest on Saturday with tons of people and great live music from Helio Sequence among others. Sunday I was able to go to the game thanks to Huy's extra ticket. The Hawks/Giants game was so loud and so much fun. It also helps to go to the game with some equally excited fans like Griff, Flex, Sean, etc. Sports nuts unite.
but the bad thing... the CURSE OF MADDEN continues, to my great displeasure. Shaun Alexander was the coverboy this year and hoping the curse would break; it has not. First three games were rather unproductive for the MVP and now he has a fracture in his foot and out indefintely!! This ain't looking good. At least the Hawks are still 3-0 and have a wide-out tandem thats unstoppable. The D is looking strong too, real strong. And speaking of strong, Mack Strong has been our offensive playmaker this year so far. So much for being old. He's the Jamie Moyer of football.
Well hopefully my trip is better. Good luck to my softball team, Team Zissou, tommorow night (tuesday) as they play their final game of the season. Hit me a homerun! And good luck to Adria with her interview later this week. And good luck with the move Meag if you move before I get back, cause i have no idea when that'll be.
Ant, out.
