Boeing reported their big, HUGE, 2006 sales and with that also announced their employee bonuses! wooo! I've already taken a little chunk out of it and bought myself a new snowboard...
After alot a few years of wanting to get the Burton Custom snowboard, I was all set to get it. I found some great pricing online too because many stores are closing out their 2006/2007 line already (this early??). But after looking around, I was like... hmm maybe I should check out some of the other boards out there, specifically the local companies, Gnu, K2, and Lib Tech. Well, I did some more research reading some online mags and reviews and ended up wanting to get a Gnu or Lib Tech board with Magne Traction. This was some neat and innovative new edge technology which adds 7 additional points of contact in the form of a wavey edge pattern on the snowboard, instead of the traditional flat straight edge. Interesting and weird? Well after reading many reviews and user comments, I did not hear a single bad word about this new "technology." In fact, it was nothing but brilliance, and given that the place I like to board alot is Snoqualmie/Alpental, it'll Post Options be nice to try it out on groomed and hard packed/ice conditions. Anyway there's alot more info on the company website: http://lib-tech.com/snowboards/magneTraction.htm
And the good deal I found was on TightBoards.com
