The NFL decided to let the "poison pill" seep into the Seahawks system as they allowed Hutchinson's contract clause to go through, making the Seahawks pay $49 million if they want to keep the guard. Well, the Hawks passed that one up. I would too; thats a whole lot of guarenteed money in a sport where there are no guarentees.
In other related news, the Hawks reached an agreement with LB Julian Peterson!! I'm excited for that. He's definitely one of the upcoming premier LB's out there so the lost of Hutch is a bit more soothing now. Still, the Seahawks have a big hole to plug in their offensive line and while Floyd Womack is a decent fill, we should definitely look at free agency and the draft and see what's out there.
